OurTunes Awareness Day?
I have been kicking around the idea of an OurTunes awareness day for some time now. Something to spread the word about what we are trying to do here on various campuses. I have a few mildly offensive/funny t-shirt ideas in mind that could help spread the word.
However, I want input on this. Should we wait to do this until the software is in beta form? Is this a dumb idea? Would *you* like to help spread the word on your campus?
Our facebook group is growing! Join it. For that matter join our forum and talk about music, the RIAA/MPAA and boycotting them and whatever the hell else you want to.

Beta sounds like a good idea.
Also, perhaps some sort of progress meter to let supporters know how far along the project is? So far it’s been mostly publicity news and news about the development team, and scarcely anything about the software itself.

Thats a good idea. Right now though the team doesn’t know how much longer it will take to crack iTunes 7. We are started but… I am hoping for some progress reports written by the team next week. I personally can’t write much about where the project is, I only know what the dev team tells me. We *are* getting ready to put a dev version of the software out soon. That should help us some in cracking iTunes and show people a bit of progress.

I been tossing around the idea of postering campus with “saveourtunes.com” posters and maybe hosting a short informational meeting both about the project and about the current RIAA goings on. I’m a sophomore at a small liberal arts school in WI for reference. Maybe we should get a forum thread going about this for developing “awareness day ideas” ideas.
